The Burren (Irish: Boireann, meaning "great rock") is a region of environmental interest primarily located in northwestern County Clare, Ireland, dominated by glaciated karst (or sometimes glaciokarst) measures, depending on the definition, between square kilometres (97 sq mi) and square kilometres ( sq mi).

The name is most often applied to the area within the circle. Boston- Móinín an gCloigeann – the ‘little bog of the skulls’ is a tiny village near the eastern edge of the Burren. To the south lies Lough Bunny, a calcareous lake of acres and one of the deepest in the Burren. It contains a wide variety of wildfowl and plants.

Ballyvaughan is a gorgeous seaside village full of cottages, cafes and scenic walks for you to explore. A good combination for all weather!/10(). One does not need to have read the previous book to read this one, although it is of course recommended. It is also an exquisite book.
